Jay Shah was born on 22nd September 1988 and is son of Sonal Shah and Amit Shah (Political leader and Minister of Home Affairs).
He first served as an Executive Board member of the Central Board of Cricket in Ahmedabad.
In 2015, he joined the Finance and Marketing Team of Board of Control for Cricket in India.
He was made the youngest Secretary of BCCI in 2019 and was re-elected in 2022. He made the IPL a grand success making it the 2nd most valued sport in the World.
He became the President of ACC (Asian Cricket Council) in 2021 and was re-elected in 2024.
He was elected as a Representative in 2018 for the ICC (International Cricket Council) board for future meetings.
He is married to his college girlfriend, Rishita Patel. His wedding in February 2015 was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other political leaders.
