Unfreedom (2015)

A drama film by Raj Amit Kumar follows two stories of a religious fundamentalist in New York who targets an anti-extremist researcher and a lesbian daughter in India who resists an arranged marriage.

Water (2005)

Set in 1938 India, follows Eight-year-old Chuhiya is sent to live at a widows' ashram following the death of her husband. There, she befriends Kalyani, a fellow inmate who is compelled to work as a prostitute.

Paanch (2001)

A crime thriller film directed by Anurag Kashyap follows four friends who plan to kidnap their friend but things go wrong when their friend is accidentally killed.

The Pink Mirror (2003)

Directed by Sridhar Rangayan, focuses on Indian transsexuals with the entire story revolving around two transsexuals and a gay teenager's attempts to seduce a man.

Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996)

The story revolves around Tara and Maya, a princess and a maidservant who are childhood friends. The two become rivals when they grow up, and Maya seduces Tara’s husband-to-be.

Fire (1996)

Young Indian ladies Sita and Radha's husbands prefer to be celibate or have mistresses over their wives. As a result, in the midst of a narrow-minded society, they develop a tight, passionate connection.

Bandit Queen

Based on the life of Phoolan Devi, the story is about Phoolam who belongs to a lower caste and faces sexual abuse and discrimination in society. In a turn of events, she becomes a gang leader.
