Rishi Kapoor was born to Raj Kapoor and Krishna Malhotra on 4th September 1952 in Matunga, South Bombay.
Besides being an Actor, he was also a Film Director and Producer. He worked in the Industry for 40 years.
His Debut film was Shri 420 and was 3 years old when he had a cameo in that film. But His first film as an actor was Bobby. Both the films were directed by his Father.
He received a National Film Award and 4 Filmfare Awards in his 40 years long Career. The National Film Award for Best Child Artist was given to him for his debut film “Shri 420”.
Rishi Kapoor’s film “Bobby” was made to pay off the debt of his other film “Mera naam Joker”. Also “Mera Naam Joker” movie has 2 Intervals and is 4 hours 15 minutes long.
He and Neetu Singh Kapoor got married in 1980. They have 2 kids, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor. He died on 30th April 2020 at the age of 67.
He did many superhit films over the years such as Amar Akbar Anthony, Khel Khel Mein, Karz, Kabhie Kabhie etc.
