KGF 2 earned Rs 134.5 crore on the first day, with the Hindi version taking an opening of Rs 53.75 crores. It became the highest-grossing film on opening day in the Hindi version.

The third movie in the spy universe War earned ₹53.35 crore on its first day, which was the highest opening day collection for a Hindi film.

Thugs Of Hindostan (50.75 Crores)

TOH earned ₹50.75 crore on its first day in India. This was the highest opening day collection for a Hindi film despite this the movie crashed at the box office and was a big flop.

Happy New Year (42.6 Crores)

King Khan's 2014 Diwali release smashed all the records for the first day collections. It collected 42.6 Crores on its opening day.

Bharat (42.3 Crores)

Another Bhaijaan movie on the list Salman Khan's film Bharat collected Rs 42.30 crore on the first day. It is the highest first day collection for a Salman Khan film.

The Hindi version of Bahubali 2 earned ₹41 crore on the first day. It broke all the records held by any Indian film.

Salman Khan the box office king smashed many records with PRDP. It collected ₹40.35 crore (US$5.1 million) on its opening day in India which was second highest at the time of its release.

Gadar 2 (40.1 Crores)

Gadar 2 smashed many box office records. The first day box office collection for Gadar 2 was ₹40.1 crore.
