Zia Mohyeddin was born in Lyallpur, he spent his early life in Kasur and Lahore. He was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London from 1953 to 1956.
Zia is the first Pakistani ever to work in Hollywood. Mohyeddin made his debut on the big screen with the British drama “Lawrence of Arabia” and then starred in a Hollywood movie.
Zia became famous for his Pakistan TV talk show Zia Mohyeddin Show. He was also known for originating the role of Dr. Aziz in the stage play of 'A Passage to India'.
Zia has worked in more than 17 Television shows and 15 films.
Zia passed away on Monday after a brief illness. He was 91.
