Increased Hunger

Without protein, fibre and healthy fats, which most processed foods and sugary foods lack in, the body burns through sugar quickly and ramps up hunger, which can lead to increased hunger and mindless eating.

Difficulty In Sleeping

Blood sugar levels throughout the day greatly impact cortisol production over the course of the day, which can negatively affect sleep.

Poor Digestion

Too much sugar, a known gut irritant can be a possible culprit for poor digestion. If high-sugar foods are replaced by fruits, vegetables and whole grains that have fiber, constipation can be a matter of concern.

Studies have shown that consuming excess sugar can promote inflammation, worsen mood and can lead to symptoms of depression which can also lead to stress.
