6 Foods That You Should NOT Eat Daily

Here are 6 food items that you should not have every day. While you should stay away from some of these foods for good, others should be consumed in moderation, not daily.

Juice

Canned juices are loaded with sugar and empty calories and are as bad as aerated drinks. While fresh fruit or vegetable juices are better, juicing takes out the essential fiber. So limit the intake and have whole fruits and veggies too.

Dry Fruits

They are indeed superfoods and are nutrient-rich, but they are high in calories too. Also compared to fresh fruits, dry fruits have more sugar and calories. So avoid having daily, especially say before bedtime.

Animal Protein

If you are a non-vegetarian, this can be tough but try to give it a break in the week. Overall, animal-based proteins are healthy. But the essential fiber and antioxidants of plant-based protein are missing, so include those in your diet too.

Canned food

Do not have canned food - baked beans, tuna, vegetables - regularly. They contain a high amount of sugar, salt, artificial flavours, and are bereft of most of the essential fiber and nutrients.

Baked Goods

Just like other desserts, baked goods like cookies and cake - which often become our teatime staple - are full of empty calories and sugar. Forget daily, you should severely restrict the consumption of baked goods.

Cruciferous vegetables

They are definitely good for health but don't over-indulge. These veggies, including spinach, contain a compound called thiocyanate. This interferes with the absorption of iodine if you overeat and lack of iodine can lead to hyperthyroidism.
