While lean cuts of red meat can be consumed in moderation, it's best to limit the consumption of high-fat red meats as they can contribute to higher uric acid levels.

Seafood

Avoid or limit consumption of anchovies, sardines, mackerel, herring, scallops, and trout. Other seafood like shrimp and crab should also be eaten in moderation.

Processed Foods

Saturated and Trans Fats

Foods high in saturated and trans fats, such as fried foods and commercially baked goods, can promote inflammation and potentially worsen gout symptoms.

Yeast-Rich Foods

Yeast extracts, like those found in certain gravies, sauces, and spreads, can contribute to increased uric acid levels.
