Your PAN card will become inoperative if it is not linked with Aadhaar card before the deadline (March 31, 2023) and you won’t be able to do financial transactions hereafter.
Income tax department has made it mandatory for PAN holders to link the card with Aadhaar card. In case your PAN card is already linked with Aadhaar, you can confirm the status by going to this portal https://eportal.incometax.gov.in.

Those who want to link their PAN card with Aadhaar, they have to first register on the income tax e-filing portal.
After the completion of the registration, then log-in to the portal after entering the ID, password, and date of birth.
A pop-up window will appear that will prompt you to link your PAN card with Aadhaar and If the pop-up window not appears, you can go to profile setting and opt the “Link Aadhaar” button.
Fill the details, then verify the details on screen and finally enter your Aadhaar card number and click on the “link now” button.
Once it’s done, you will get the message that your Aadhaar card has been successfully linked to your PAN card.
