Hubli Railway Station

Hubli Railway Station in Karnataka is the world’s longest railway station as of 2023. Also known as Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji – Hubballi Junction, it is operated by the South Western Railways under the Hubli division. Platform 1 of the Hubbali station, with a length of 1,505 metres, is the longest railway platform in the world.

Gorakhpur Railway Station

Gorakhpur Railway Station is situated in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It became the World’s longest railway platform on 6th October, 2013 with a length of 1,366 meters but later on, Hubli Railway Station took over the title of the longest platform and it became the second longest railway station.

Kollam Junction Railway Station

Kollam Junction Railway Station is situated in the southernmost state of India, i.e. Kerala. It is one of the oldest railway platforms in India and is the third longest railway platform in India with a length of 1,180.5 m.

Kharagpur Junction Railway Station

Kharagpur Junction railway station has the world’s fourth longest railway platform with a length of 1,072.5 metres. It is located in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was also the Longest Railway Platform till 2013.

Bilaspur Railway Station

Bilaspur Railway Station is located in the Indian state of Chattisgarh. It has the fifth longest railway platform in India, sixth in the world with a total length of 802 m. It is the busiest station of state Chattisgarh.

Jhansi Junction

Jhansi Junction is one of the popular Railway stations of India and is located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It has the sixth-long railway platform with a total length of 770 m. Jhansi Junction is a technical stoppage for many superfast trains in India for Delhi-Chennai and Delhi-Mumbai line.

Sonepur Railway Station

Sonepur Railway Station is located in the state of Bihar. It has the seventh longest railway platform in India and the 11th longest railway Platform in the world with a total length of 738 m. It is also known for India’s longest road-cum-rail bridge called Ganga Rail-Road Bridge.
