Royal Bengal Tiger

This is the biggest wild cat species in the world and the national animal of India. India's tiger count reached 3,167 in latest census.

Black Panther

This is actually a leopard with a rare mutation called Melanism that makes it black. It is also called Melanistic Leopard or “The Ghost of the Forest”.

Clouded Leopard

This is the smallest big cat of India and it is very shy and secretive in the wild. They reside in North Eastern States of India.

Indian Leopard

They are known for their agility and adaptability. They are found all over India, even in big cities like Mumbai, Gurugram, Bangalore, Mysore, etc.

Snow Leopard

These leopards live in the high altitudes of the Himalayas. They have strong body that helps them climb steep slopes easily.

Cheetah

After their extinction in the 1950s, Cheetahs from Namibia and South Africa have been reintroduced at India's Kuno National Park.

Asiatic Lion

The Asiatic lions are only found in Gir national park in Gujarat, where about 670 of them survive.
