9 Youngest UPSC Candidates Who Cracked IAS Exam

Roman Saini

Roman Saini passed a challenging AIIMS admission test at the age of 16. He passed the UPSC exam and was appointed an IAS officer at the age of 22. He was later appointed district collector in Madhya Pradesh. Roman Saini, on the other hand, was not satisfied with becoming an IAS officer and instead aspired to be an entrepreneur. After resigning his employment as an IAS officer in 2015, he founded Unacademy.

Ansar Sheikh

Ansar Sheikh, overcame various challenges to pass the UPSC CS exam and become an IAS officer at the age of 21, set a good example for many others. Sheikh is currently employed as an ADM in Cooch Behar, West Bengal. He was born and raised in the Maharashtra village of Jalna in the Marathwada region to an autorickshaw driver father and a farmer mother.

Tina Dabi

Delhi candidate Tina Dabi took first place in the 2015 UPSC test. Tina passed the IAS test on her first attempt and received an AIR 1 score at the age of 22.

Gaurav Goyal

In 2006, Goyal was appointed as an IAS officer at the age of 22. He is currently posted as Secretary to Chief Minister, Rajasthan and Secretary to Government, Department Of Information And Public Relation, Rajasthan, Jaipur. He is considered as one of the nation's best young IAS officers and is highly renowned for his efforts to carry out his responsibilities.

Amrutesh Aurangabadkar

Amrutesh Aurangabadkar, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, was inspired by his father, a groundwater surveyor. Witnessing his father's integrity-driven profession inspired him to pursue an IAS career. He made history by passing the UPSC exam on his first attempt.

Pradeep Singh

Pradeep Singh, a native of Gopalganj, Bihar, passed the UPSC exam in 2020 at the age of 23, and went on to become an IAS officer. Pradeep's father had to sell his home to pay for his son's civil service education.

Swati Meena Naik

Swati is an IAS officer from Sikar in Rajasthan. She cleared the UPSC civil service examination in 2007, at the age of 22. She achieved an All India Rank of 206 in her first attempt. She was the youngest IAS officer in her class.

Ananya Singh

Ananya Singh, an IAS officer, was barely 22 years old when she passed the UPSC exam and took office. Ananya Singh is from Uttar Pradesh and went to St. Mary's Convent School. After being awarded the district's top student in both class 10 and class 12 from the CISCE board, an IAS official graduated with honors in Economics from the Delhi-based Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Simi Karan

Simi Karan was admitted to IIT Bombay to study electrical engineering. However, after interacting with children in impoverished areas, her desire to become an engineer shifted. She then made the decision to prepare for the UPSC. She got appointed as an IAS officer after achieving All India Rank 31 in the UPSC in 2019.
