The national capital is facing severe water logging and water level in river Yamuna has crossed the danger mark and has reached over 408 meters which is the highest in the past 45 years.
The water level of Yamuna had risen to 208.46 metres on July 13.
Traffic is restricted on Lala Hardev Sahai Marg in the carriageway from ISBT, Kashmere Gate towards Tis Hazari due to rise in water level of Yamuna river.
Due to excessive water in Delhi-NCR, many rickshaws, autos, and cars were seen drowning in water.
Water levels have started increasing again in Yamunanagar district since last night and as per officials it’ll increase.
DCP Achin Garg visited Yamuna Bank to review the current situation and rescue people residing in low lying areas near the river bank.
