The fort is made with red-sandstone walls and therefore it is called the ‘Red Fort.’
It is said that it took almost 9 years to complete the base of the fort.
Red Fort serves as the symbol of power, splendor, freedom and incredible India.
Every year, on August 15, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag from the Red Fort celebrating India’s Independence.
