Asia's largest tulip garden, Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden in Jammu and Kashmir, has opened for the public this week.
Tulip Garden in Srinagar is ensconced between Dal Lake and the Zabarwan hills.
About 68 varieties of tulips will bloom in the garden, which is also known as Siraj Bagh, this year.
There are 15 lakh tulips of various colours and hues in the garden.
Tulip Garden in Srinagar also has other spring flowers, such as hyacinths, daffodils, muscari and cyclamens.
Tulip Garden is expanded every year and new varieties are displayed.
Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden was formerly known as Siraj Bagh. It was opened in 2008 by then Jammu and Kashmir CM Ghulam Nabi Azad.
In 2022, the Tulip Garden welcomed 3.60 lakh visitors, which is the highest since it was opened in 2008.
