MP Assembly Election 2023: All You Need To Know

Madhya Pradesh recently witnessed a crucial electoral showdown as voters cast their ballots for all 230 assembly seats on November 17.

The state, traditionally a stronghold for the BJP, sought to maintain its grip on power, having governed for nearly 18 of the past 20 years.

The polling, conducted on November 17, recorded a substantial turnout of 76.22 percent, surpassing the figures from the 2018 assembly elections, which saw a 74.97 percent voter turnout.

The Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 unfolded as a faceoff between the Congress and the BJP.

In its election manifesto for Madhya Pradesh, the Congress party made substantial commitments, presenting a comprehensive vision for the state.

The promises included the Old Benefits Plan, a caste enumeration initiative, Nari Samman Nidhi providing Rs 1500 monthly to women, a Rs 25 lakh health insurance scheme for residents, and a notable 27 percent reservation for OBCs in public-sector institutions.
