Smoking in public places is prohibited in India and a nationwide rule came into effect from 2 October 2008

Do Not Show Affection In Public

PDAs are loosely fine, however don’t get intimate in public places in India. Intimate public affection is frowned upon in India

In India giving or accepting things with left hand is considered rude and sometimes inauspicious

In India you can talk freely about religion, but be very mindful of not offending any religion or religious beliefs in the country
