In a bowl, mix 1½ cups of all-purpose flour, ¼ cup of ghee, ¼ cup of yogurt, and a pinch of baking soda. Gradually add cold water to form a soft dough without over-kneading. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water. Boil until it reaches one-string consistency, then add cardamom for flavor. Keep warm.
Divide the dough into small balls. Flatten each ball slightly and make a deep indent in the center.
In a frying pan, heat oil on a low flame for deep frying.
Carefully add the shaped Badusha to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Once fried, immediately dip the Badusha in the warm sugar syrup, ensuring they are well-coated.
Let them soak for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped nuts if desired before serving. Enjoy!
