Step 1

Start by boiling water until it reaches a rolling boil.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of coffee powder into the upper compartment of the coffee filter.

Step 3

Place the upper part over the lower part of the filter, and pour the boiling water slowly over the coffee powder. Cover it and let the water seep through the powder. This process creates a thick coffee decoction.

Step 4

It takes about 10–15 minutes for the coffee to percolate fully. Be patient, as this slow brewing is key to a strong flavor.

Step 5

While waiting for the decoction, heat milk on low flame, bringing it to a gentle boil. Avoid overheating, as it might alter the coffee’s flavor.

Step 6

Pour 2-3 tablespoons of the decoction into a cup. Adjust based on how strong you like your coffee. Add hot milk in a 1:1 ratio for a balanced taste, or adjust it based on your preference.

Step 7

dd sugar to taste. To create the signature froth, pour the coffee back and forth between two cups from a height. This aerates the coffee, making it frothy.
