Ingredients:

rice, salt, cardamom, food colouring, onion, garlic, ginger, chillies, spices, clove, mint leaves, onions, garam masala,oil, bay leaf.

Step 2:

Now heat the pan, add some oil, now bay leaves, onion, ginger garlic, chillies, clove and cardamom.

Step 3:

Saute all the material till the onions are well cooked. Now take out some onions from the mixture.

Step 4:

Add all the spices in the mixture left in the pan. Take the rice and wash it nicely.

Step 5:

Add the rice, do not mix, just let it cook. When the rice is cooked, take some rice out.

Step 6:

Add the food colouring and roasted onions on the top of it, add the rice, take it out, make a layer and top it up with mint leaves. Let it cook for another 10 minutes.

Step 7:

Serve hot with a bondi raita and green chutney to enhance the flavour more. The layers allow the different colours of rice to be seen.
