7 Steps To Make Homemade Pineapple Jam

Step 1

For making pineapple jam you'll need pineapple, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice and water.

Step 2

Peel, and dice the pineapple into small chunks. The finer you chop it, the smoother your jam will be.

Step 3

In a large pan, add the diced pineapple, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Stir everything together and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

Step 4

Once the pineapple mixture has thickened, add the vanilla extract for extra flavour.

Step 5

To check if your jam is done, place a small spoonful on a chilled plate. Run your finger through it, and if it wrinkles and doesn’t run, your jam is ready.

Step 6

While your jam is cooking, sterilize the jars by boiling them in hot water for a few minutes.

Step 7

Once your jam reaches the desired consistency, pour it into the sterilized jars while it's still hot. Seal the jars tightly.
