Gather the basic ingredients like spaghetti, garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
Boil a large pot of salted water, and cook the pasta. Reserve a cup of pasta water for later, which will help thicken your sauce and add flavor.
While your pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Then add thinly sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir, creating a creamy base for your aglio olio sauce. Stir your cream until the flavours melt nicely.
Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with the creamy garlic sauce. Add a bit of the reserved pasta water to achieve the perfect consistency.
Grate fresh Parmesan cheese into the pasta, add seasoning and black pepper.
