Sunlight is must for Tulsi, so place it in a space where it receives direct sunlight for at least 4-6 hours a day.
Use well-draining soil with a pH between 6-7, which should be a mix of garden soil, and, and compost or manure.
Water tulsi plant regularly to keep the soil moist but not soggy. Check the soil moisture by sticking your finger in it and water it when it feels dry.
Put a layer of mulch, such as straw, leaves, or wood chips around the plant to retain moisture and regulate the soil temperature.
Tulsi is sensitive to cold, bring the plant inside or cover it with a cloth when it is cold outside.
Pluck the old leaves regularly to help the plant grow more and trim the top to encourage bushy growth.
Feed your Tulsi plant at least once a month with fertilizers to promote healthy growth.
