1. Take Equal proportion of maida and sooji, twice the proportion of paneer/chhena
2. Mix the above dry ingredients with baking powder and baking soda
3. In another pan, boil sugar, ilaichi and water and make a chaasni (sugar syrup)
4. Now mix all the above dry ingredients in a bowl, pouring a little milk slowly, make a dough out of it
5. Your dough should not be tightly knead, it should be a soft dough
6. Now divide the dough in several small ball shapes
7. Heat oil in a pan and fry the balls in low flame till golden brown
8. Take it out of the pan with a slotted spoon
9. Now dunk the gulab jamun fried balls in the sugar syrup/chaasni
10. Turn of the flame once the gulab jamuns get one boil. Your gulab jamuns can be serve warm or at room temperature
