Soak 1 cup of cashews in water for 2-3 hours to soften them.
Drain the soaked cashews and grind them into a smooth paste using little water.
Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan, and cook the cashew paste on low heat.
Pour in 1 cup of full-fat milk and add 3/4 cup of sugar, mixing well.
Stir the mixture constantly, allowing it to cook until it thickens and becomes halwa-like.
Add a pinch of cardamom powder and saffron strands for flavor and aroma.
Garnish with chopped nuts like almonds and pistachios, then serve hot or warm.
