At a South Indian restaurant, a freshly prepared cup of filter coffee is always perfect. Here's how to make this fragrant coffee at home.
-1 1/2 cup water -3 tbsp coffee powder -1 1/2 cup milk -4 tsp sugar
Pour three tablespoons of filter coffee powder into the perforated container of a filter coffee cup. Using the pressing disc, apply pressure firmly.
Pour 1 1/2 cups of boiling water slowly into the upper vessel until it is almost full.
Place the cover on top and leave it undisturbed for half an hour.
Depending on how strong you want your coffee, pour some of the decoction into a dabara (traditional glass) when it's ready.
Adjust the sweetness or add 1 tsp of sugar. Then, depending on how milky you want your coffee, pour hot, boiling milk.
To combine everything and create a lovely froth, move the coffee from one glass to another. Serve right away.
