The Six Lost

Kansa killed Devaki’s first six children. The seventh child was secretly moved to Rohini’s womb by the blessings of Yogamaya. This child, named Balram, grew up as Krishna’s elder brother.

The Escape to Safety

Vasudev took Krishna across the Yamuna River, which parted to let them through. He safely delivered Krishna to his friend Maharaj Nanda in Gokul.

Clever Swap

Vasudev returned to the prison cell with Nanda’s baby girl. Kansa, thinking she was the eighth child, tried to kill her.

Revelation

The baby girl slipped from Kansa’s hands and soared into the sky. She declared that Kansa’s end was near and Krishna had already been swapped.

The Return of Krishna

As Krishna grew up, he returned to Mathura with his elder brother Balram. He defeated and killed Kansa, fulfilling the prophecy made long ago.

Krishna’s Legacy

Krishna’s birth was a divine event that set the stage for his future role as a protector. His miraculous birth and the eventual defeat of Kansa highlight the prophecy’s truth and the triumph of good over evil.
