Step 1

Collect makhana (fox nuts), jaggery, ghee, and optional nuts or seeds.

Step 2

In a pan, melt jaggery with a little water until it forms a syrup.

Step 3

In a separate pan, dry roast the makhana until they become crunchy.

Step 4

Add the roasted makhana to the jaggery syrup, stirring well to coat.

Step 5

Mix in a tablespoon of ghee to enhance flavor and prevent sticking.

Step 6

If using, add chopped nuts or seeds for added texture and nutrition.

Step 7

Pour the mixture onto a greased plate, flatten it, and let it cool before cutting into pieces.
