Meet Chirag Paswan the actor-turned-politician who has a net worth of Rs 2.68 crore; know about his journey, luxurious lifestyle, family, cars, and more

Chirag Paswan, often referred to as ‘Modi’s Hanuman,’ has carved a notable niche for himself in Indian politics.

Recently appointed as the Minister of Food Processing in Modi’s 3.0 cabinet, Paswan’s journey from Bollywood to the corridors of power is a tale of resilience and strategic manoeuvring.

Chirag Paswan’s political career took a significant leap with his victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. His faction triumphed in all five contested seats, solidifying his position and showcasing his political acumen.

Winning from the Hajipur constituency, previously held by his late father Ram Vilas Paswan, marked a poignant continuation of his family’s political legacy.

Before his political career, Paswan dabbled in Bollywood. His foray into the film industry was short-lived, leading him to transition to politics in 2012. This shift was driven by a desire for public service and a commitment to his father’s legacy.

As per his Election affidavit, his total assets exceed Rs 2.68 crore, including movable assets worth Rs 1.66 crore. His investments include cash, bank deposits, shares, and gold jewellery valued at Rs 14.40 lakh.

Paswan also owns two cars: a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy (2015) and a Toyota Fortuner (2014), together valued at Rs 35 lakh. His fixed properties, including a house in Patna, are valued at Rs 1.02 crore.
