Childhood coach

Neeraj was trained for javelin throw for the first time by Jaiveer Singh at his village in Haryana.

Neeraj's second coach

Neeraj, in 2011, met Naseem Ahmad. He worked hard on building Neeraj's stamina.

Neeraj's third coach

Neeraj won U20 World Championship under the guidance of Fary Calvert.

Kashinath Naik

Naik played a big role in developing Neeraj as a Track and Field athlete.

Uwe Hohn

In 2017, Germany's javelin great Uwe Hohn joined Neeraj as coach. But he left soon.

Why did Uwe Hohn leave

Hohn had issues with Athletics Federation of India and after a verbal spat, he left by 2019.

Dr Klaus Bartonietz enters

Biomechanics expert Dr Klaus Bartonietz became full-time coach of Neeraj in 2019.

Olympic gold under Bartonietz

Dr Klaus Bartonietz worked hard with Neeraj to help him clinch the gold in Tokyo Olympics.

Bartonietz's contract extended

After seeing success, AFI has extended Bartonietz's contract as Neeraj's coach till 2024 Paris Olympics.
