In 2017, Germany's javelin great Uwe Hohn joined Neeraj as coach. But he left soon.
Hohn had issues with Athletics Federation of India and after a verbal spat, he left by 2019.
Biomechanics expert Dr Klaus Bartonietz became full-time coach of Neeraj in 2019.
Dr Klaus Bartonietz worked hard with Neeraj to help him clinch the gold in Tokyo Olympics.
After seeing success, AFI has extended Bartonietz's contract as Neeraj's coach till 2024 Paris Olympics.
