Microsoft has appointed Pavan Davuluri, a company veteran and an alumnus of the IIT Madras, to lead its Windows and Surface divisions.
He has received this position after Panos Panay, who was previously the head of this department, left Microsoft last year to join Amazon.
Pavan Davuluri graduated from the IIT Madras and moved to the US for his MSc from the University of Maryland in 1999.
Pavan Davuluri started working with Microsoft in 2001 as a Reliability Component Manager.
In a series of promotions, Pavan was elevated to the position of General Manager of the Surface vertical in 2015.
He got a big jump in profile in October 2023, when he was made the Corporate Vice President of the Windows + Devices team.
