50 per cent of the country’s daily water requirement is fulfilled from sources like desalinization plants, collecting rainwater, and reusing wastewater.

The country follows the Green Mark Scheme – "A system to rate buildings on how eco-friendly they are, started in 2005.

Eco-friendly Buildings

The buildings in Singapore are super eco-friendly! They use solar panels for electricity, solar tubes for hot water, collect rainwater, and even have floors filled with green plants

Waste Management

All the countrywide waste produced is filtered, reused and recycled and then processed for energy by burning them

Non-polluting

The polluting gases from burning furnaces are filtered completely before being released into the air
