Purani Haveli, also known as Nizam Jubilee Pavilion, is a significant landmark located in Hyderabad, said to have been built in the 18th century.
It has an interesting structure resembling the 18th-century European style of architecture with a blend of Indian courtyards, adding appeal to its beauty. With exquisite tiles and mosaic work, it gives a royal appearance to Purani Haveli.
The central palace is divided into two double-storey wings; among those, one is known for having the world's longest wardrobe with a hand-operated elevator, making it one of the most distinctive aspects of the Purani Haveli.
It also serves as a museum dedicated to Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam ruler of Hyderabad. It displays precious artifacts such as souvenirs, gifts, and mementos given to the Nizam by various world dignitaries.
With silver replicas of Hyderabad’s monuments, a gold tiffin box with diamonds, and a pearl-studded writing box, you can find all the displays of royalty.
The museum houses also have vintage cars like the 1930 Rolls-Royce, a Packard, and a Jaguar Mark V. Besides being a museum, Purani Haveli also functions as a school and an industrial training institute.
The timings are from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Visit Purani Haveli with your friends and family and get a closer look at the exquisite architecture.
