The Badkhal Lake is situated in Badkhal village near Faridabad in the Indian state of Haryana.
This was once a natural water body. Which was the attraction point for the tourists.
Due to the drought the lake does not have water but it does get filled up when rain starts pouring.
This lake was built when the country got independence. It was built by constructing a bund between two lying lakes of Aravalli
The assumed reason behind the drying of Badkhal lake is that due to illegal activity the water flow was disrupted.
The Haryana Government is now taking steps toward the betterment of the Badkhal lake.
There is a hope that the Badkhal lake will look somewhat like this after 5 years.
