Nile River

Commonly regarded as the world's longest river, measuring about 6,650 kilometers (4,130 miles). It empties into the Mediterranean Sea after flowing north through northeastern Africa.

Amazon River

The Amazon River, roughly 6,575 kilometers (4,086 miles) long, is the world's largest river by discharge volume of water. It flows primarily through Brazil and Peru in South America, ultimately emptying into the Atlantic Ocean.

Yangtze River

About 6,300 kilometers (3,917 miles), is the longest river in Asia and the third-longest in the world. Originating in the Tibetan Plateau, it flows through several major Chinese cities, including Chongqing, Wuhan, and Shanghai, before reaching the East China Sea.

Mississippi-Missouri River System

The Mississippi-Missouri River System, measuring approximately 6,275 kilometers (3,902 miles), is the longest river system in North America. It begins in the Rocky Mountains of Montana and joins the Mississippi River near St. Louis, Missouri.

Yenisei-Angara-Lake Baikal-Seleng River System

The Yenisei-Angara-Lake Baikal-Seleng River System, spanning around 5,539 kilometers (3,445 miles). It begins in Mongolia, travels through Lake Baikal, then empties into the Arctic Ocean via Russia and Mongolia.

Yellow River (Huang He)

The Huang He, or Yellow River, spanning over 5,464 kilometers (3,395 miles). It rises in Qinghai province's Bayan Har Mountains and passes through nine other provinces before draining into the Bohai Sea.

Ob-Irtysh River System

With a total length of around 5,410 kilometers (3,364 miles), it traverses China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The Irtysh River, which empties into the Gulf of Ob in the Arctic Ocean after joining the Ob River in western Siberia, is the starting point.
