In Pakistan, the highest-ranking civil service is the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS).

To apply for PAS, a candidate must be a Pakistani citizen with a bachelor's degree and must be between 21 and 30 years of age.

PAS candidates have to appear for the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam, which consists of 12 papers: 6 compulsory and 6 optional.

The starting salary of a PAS officer is around PKR 70,000 per month, which can go up to PKR 250,000 per month.

PAS officers are responsible for the administration and management of districts, divisions, and provinces in Pakistan.

They can also serve in various federal ministries and departments, as well as in international organizations.
