Usha Chilukuri Vance: The Indian American Wife Of US VP Candidate JD Vance

Usha Chilukuri Vance is a litigator in the San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation and appeals in a wide variety of sectors, including higher education, local government, entertainment, and technology, including semiconductors.

Ms. Vance returned to the firm after clerking for Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Vance received her law degree from Yale Law School, where she was executive development editor of the Yale Law Journal and managing editor of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology.

While at Yale, she participated in the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic, the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, and the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project.

She holds a B.A. in history from Yale University and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Cambridge Scholar. Before entering law school, Ms. Vance taught American history as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China.

Ms. Vance lives with her husband and three children in Cincinnati, Ohio.
