Ryan murder case: CBI submits sealed status report in court
During the last hearing on November 17, the CBI had opposed the bail plea of the three trustees of the school and had demanded their custody.
GURUGRAM: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday submitted its sealed status report before Punjab and Haryana High Court in connection with the bail plea of the Pinto family, owners of Ryan International School where seven-year-old class 2 student Pradyuman Thakur was murdered.
The bail plea will be heard again at 4 pm on Tuesday. During the last hearing on November 17, the CBI had opposed the bail plea of the three trustees of the school and had demanded their custody.
They had said that their role in a bigger conspiracy cannot be ruled out. It may be noted that the investigating agencies have earlier cited that the Pintos- Augustine Pinto, Grace Pinto and Ryan Pinto- were involved in the destruction of evidence in the case.
Earlier in the day, the CBI had summoned a relative of bus conductor Ashok Kumar, who has been arrested for Pradyuman's murder.
Kumar's maternal uncle OP Chopra was summoned after the agency obtained audio clips in which he is heard saying: "We will put it on the school authorities. Let the situation mellow down." The audio clips went viral on the social media.
Pradhuman, a Class 2 student, was found murdered in the Ryan International School in Gurugram on September 8.
Chopra is also heard telling a relative of the juvenile arrested on November 7 for allegedly committing the crime: "Let me get my nephew released first, after that we will find a way for you and put the whole blame on the school authorities."
The case had earlier led to the arrest of conductor Kumar. Haryana Police insisted that he committed the murder. Kumar is still in jail despite the arrest of the other school student.
