New Delhi: Every time you delete your chat messages on WhatsApp, you never really deleted them. They are stored somewhere and can b recovered.
Latest research has revealed that WhatsApp does not really delete messages on iPhones but rather retains and stores them which can be recovered later.
According to The Verge, iOS researcher Jonathan Zdziarski found that the software retains and stores a forensic trace of the chat logs even after the chats have been deleted.
"The latest version of the app tested leaves forensic trace of all of your chats, even after you've deleted, cleared, or archived them... even if you 'Clear All Chats',” Zdziarski said in a post.
Zdziarski further informed that this forensic trace can then be accessed by anyone with right tools and knowledge and the same data could also be recoverable through any remote backup systems in place.
He, however, assured that WhatsApp users should not be really worried about it as the loophole was not deliberately created by WhatsApp.
