No reason why Instagram went down for one hour

New York: Several Instagram users could not log in to their account on Monday the company could not give a reason for the same.

"We know some Instagrammers are experiencing issues with the app. We`re working on a fix!" Instagram posted on Twitter.

The photo-sharing app however quickly deleted the tweet.

Instagram was down for many users around the world on both the web and mobile app for an hour.

When users logged into Instagram, it brought up either a server error or became too sluggish.

Instagram was later restored across web and mobile.
