Islamabad: Guests were showered with dollars, riyals and brand new cell phones at a wedding in Pakistan, as per a media report.

Mohammad Arshad, a resident of Tehsil Shujabad of Multan, married a woman who lives in Khanpur. As per Express News, when the groom's family reached the bride’s residence, they started showering gifts on the guests waiting for them.


A video clip showed that the groom's family threw gifts at the guests while standing on a raised platform. The guests are seen grabbing whatever they could lay their hands on.


In the same video, the grooms family are also seen standing at the top of a bus and hurling gifts towards the guests.

The report said that as the news spread, more residents of Khanpur rushed to the wedding to try their luck.


The groom is said to have eight brothers. Four reportedly live in the United States and the others in Saudi Arabia.
