The all-new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is introduced in the country at a starting price of Rs 1.73 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle’s top-spec trim will retail for Rs 2.15 lakh, ex-showroom. In comparison to the Hunter 350, it is expensive by roughly Rs 24,000, while it is cheaper than the Classic 350 by nearly Rs 19,000. The Military Black and Military Red versions of the Bullet 350 are priced at Rs 1.73 lakh. The Standard Maroon and Standard Black trims, on the other hand, will retail for Rs 1.97 lakh. The Black Gold scheme remains exclusive for the top-spec trim.
Talking of differences made to the visual front in comparison to Classic 350, the Bullet 350 gets a single-piece seat. The handlebar is changed as well, for more relaxed ergonomics. The rear fender is updated with a tail lamp borrowed from the Classic 350 itself. Another big change is the design for the rectangular side boxes.
Although, the motorcycle is based on the Classic 350 itself. It uses the same J-architecture as its base, which is also used on the Hunter 350 and Meteor 350. The engine too is borrowed from the newer motorcycles. Thus, the Bullet 350 now gets a 349 cc single-cylinder engine with a peak power output of 20 Hp and 27 N of max torque. With the engine as a stressed member on the J-frame, it is expected to offer better ride and handling than the model it replaces.
The motorcycle uses telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, it comes with a 300 mm disc brake at the front and a 270 mm rotor at the rear. The motorcycle is currently available with a total of five paint options. Some of these also get black finish for the engine, like the Classic 350.
Royal Enfield will also be offering the hand-painted gold pinstripes on the tank on the top-spec trim. Furthemore, the motorcycle gets the option of the Tripper navigation pod and alloy wheels. The latter will help with tubeless tyres. While the bookings for the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 are already open, test rides will begin from September 3. The company is also planning to offer the new Bullet 350 in international markets.
