New Delhi: Cashless in the city? Ride Ola cabs! The app-based cabs aggregator has found a solution to your cash crunch by tying up with lenders like State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank.
Ola has started a pilot project in its cabs in Kolkata and Hyderabad where Ola cabs will be parked at different locations in the cities and dispense cash of Rs 2,000 per card. Bank officers and POS machines will be integral part of the whole team!
Considering the good response to the project, Ola says that the company is exploring with banks to expand this service to other cities with cash being dispensed on the go rather than current experiment of cars being parked at a particular busy point.
In Kolkata, Ola has partnered with Punjab National Bank (PNB), while for Hyderabad, it has collaborated with SBI and Andhra Bank, and may be coming to Delhi soon.
