New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited on Thursday announced a price change for its models owing to increase in commodity and distribution costs and adverse foreign exchange rates.
Maruti hiked prices across models and by upto Rs 6,100 (Ex-Showroom - Delhi). The new prices are effective from 16th August 2018, the company said.
MSI sells a range of vehicles from entry level Alto 800 to mid-sized sedan Ciaz. These were priced between Rs 2.51 lakh and Rs 11.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) before the hike.
Maruti had last month indicated about the hike in car prices across its models however the company did not give any details regarding the quantum of the price hike.
In other news, Maruti is hosting a three-week Freedom Service Camp (from August 10th – 30th, 2018) at its dealer workshops across the country. Customers driving in to the dealer workshops during this campaign will have the option to opt for special offers on extended warranty, parts, accessories and service labour charges. Customers can also avail offers on labour charges for car body repair.
The vehicles will be examined by trained and well-qualified technicians to facilitate ‘worry-free’ drive for customers, Maruti said in a statement.
