Bhojpuri actress Rani Chatterjee set for debut in Punjabi films

Bhojpuri film actress Rani Chatterjee is set to make her debut in Punjabi films. Rani, who has worked in over 250 Bhojpuri films, reached Amritsar to shoot for her Punjabi debut Aasra. The shooting for the film began on Sunday after the cast and crew visited Darbar Sahib in Amritsar.

Rani made her debut in Bhojpuri film industry 15 years back with ‘Sasura badaa paisa wala’. Though the actress does not know Punjabi, but is determined to make efforts to prove herself in Punjabi films.

She has received several awards, including popular actress award in Mauritius, and is a known name in the Bhojpuri film industry. Her blockbusters include ‘Sasura badaa paisa wala’, ‘Tohar naikhe kaun jod, tu bejod baadu ho’, ‘Devra badaa sataavela’ and ‘Diljale’.

In Rajkumar-directed Aasra, popular actors like Guggu Gill and Teenu Verma are cast along with Rani Chatterjee
