BHOPAL: The Opposition has slammed the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government for crimes against women in the state.
During Friday's Assembly session, the opposition particularly targeted the government over the Bhopal gangrape case.
Citing the latest report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), opposition MLA Sunderlal Tiwari targeted the government for not doing enough to stop crimes against women.
However, Home Minister Bhupendra Singh has denied the allegations.
Leader Opposition Ajay Singh alleged that police’s morale was down in the state as corruption played a role in key police postings.
The situation would have improved had Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cared to implement his own announcements he made after the Nirbhaya gangrape case in Delhi in 2012, he reportedly said.
