Patna: Amid uncertainty between Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chaired a Cabinet meet that was attended by scam-tainted Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
What transpired between the two leaders remains unclear, however, if reports are to be believed, Nitish and Tejashwi are said to have reached a 'consensus'.
As per Zee News sources, Nitish has reportedly told Tejashwi to not step down from the post of deputy chief minister.
In the meeting, the deputy chief minister gave his explanation over the allegations that he faces right now, said the source.
The meeting, which lasted for about 50 minutes, was attended by Health minister Tej Pratap Singh and state Congress chief Ashok Choudhary.
Cracks in the Bihar ruling grand alliance had formed earlier this month after the CBI conducted raids on properties linked to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family for alleged financial irregularities, and lodged a FIR against Tejashwi for criminal conspiracy, cheating and criminal misconduct in the land-for-hotel deals.
What followed next was JD(U) asking RJD to come clean on the source of his assets after 'raids' episode with Lalu making it clear that there was no question of his son tendering his resignation.
On Saturday, Tejashwi had skipped a government function in which he had to share dais with Nitish.
