Nitish Kumar, Dharmendra Pradhan discusses about effective implementation of Central schemes

Pradhan apprised Kumar about progress made under different developmental programmes as part of Prime Minister's package to Bihar.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Petroleum and Skill Development minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday discussed the effective running of schemes particularly those related to skill development.

Pradhan apprised Kumar about progress made under different developmental programmes as part of Prime Minister's package to Bihar.

Pradhan said, "the Centre looks Bihar from a different perspective for its rapid economic progress."

They held a detailed discussion on "Prime Minister Urja Ganga yojna" under which LPG gas has to be supplied through a pipeline, an official statement said here.
The two also deliberated on an expansion of Barauni Refinery.

In course of discussion, it was told that a new Petro Chemical unit as well modern fertiliser unit would be established at Barauni.

Kumar and Pradhan talked about a supply of LPG gas through pipeline during which it came out that it would be run in one chosen district as a pilot project.

In course of parleys, the two stressed on expediting action from both Centre and the state for early establishment of an Ethnol plant at Supual.

Promising active cooperation from the state government on all Central schemes, the Bihar chief minister directed the chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh to make development commissioner nodal officer from the state for the purpose.

Kumar and Pradhan also talked about skill development programmes run in Bihar. The CM urged the Union minister to see how the Union government could assist in the better delivery of skill development programmes.

While chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh was present at the meeting from Bihar government, additional secretary in Union Petroleum ministry Sandeep Paundrik and Rajesh Aggarwal accompanied Pradhan in the meeting.
