Patna: Mediapersons were manhandled by security personnel of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav at the Bihar Secretariat on Wednesday.
A scuffle broke out between some mediapersons, including a news agency ANI reporter, just when the Bihar Deputy Chief Minister was asked uncomfortable questions while he was coming out after a Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat in Patna.
Entire incident was recorded on camera.
With the situation spinning out of control, senior police officials intervened to resolve the matter and placated the agitating reporters.
The CBI had earlier registered a case and recently conducted raids on the residence of Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, former Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Managing Director PK Goyal, and RJD chief's confidante Prem Chand Gupta's wife regarding award of the tender for development, maintenance and operation of railway hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006.
Tejashwi Yadav, facing the opposition heat over alleged corruption allegation against him and his family, today said that state's ruling Grand Alliance is intact, and called the corruption allegations against his family a "political conspiracy".
