Patna: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son and former minister in the Nitish Kumar government Tej Pratap Yadav on Wednesday appeared in a video threatening to beat Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi.
We are not scared, our fight will go on, will enter his (Sushil Modi's) house and beat him up. If I go to his son's marriage I will expose him, Tej Pratap Yadav was seen shouting in a video that became viral on the social media platforms.
Sushil Modi - Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister – had reportedly invited Lalu and his family to his son's wedding.
In the video, Tej Pratap can be seen threatening to beat Modi during his son's wedding at the latter's residence.
The incident, however, evoked a sharp reaction from Sushil Modi, who said that Tej Pratap was frustrated.
Condemning the former Bihar health minister, Sushil Modi said, ''he was trying to disturb his son's wedding out of frustration.''
"Tej Pratap is frustrated and hence he is threatening to disturb my son's wedding. It is very sad. Why is he bringing politics into this? I had respectfully attended weddings of Lalu ji's children and I believe he must talk to his son about this," he said.
On Tuesday, a day after Bihar BJP leader Nityanand Rai spoke of “breaking fingers and cutting hands raised in opposition to PM Narendra Modi”, former state chief minister and RJD leader Rabri Devi dared the BJP leader to do so.
Rabri Devi also spoke on the case against her. She pointed out that neither she nor any member of her family would respond to calls from Enforcement Directorate or CBI and added that the probing agencies must visit her residence if they want to interrogate her in the land-for-hotel case.
Bihar’s former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said that his father is the only leader who can keep the Opposition united. Whenever there was an attempt to suppress Lalu Prasad Yadav, he always emerged stronger.
